Wesleyan is located in Middletown, Connecticut, about two hours from New York or Boston. The campus overlooks the Connecticut River, and close by you will find hiking, swimming, mountain biking, and boating opportunities. Downtown is just three blocks from campus and boasts a twelve-screen movie theater and a diverse collection of restaurants, including Italian, Japanese, Thai, Indian, Caribbean, Mexican and vegetarian-as well as a nationally famous diner.

The campus is set around a large central green. In addition to landmark buildings dating from the 19th century, Wesleyan has superb athletic facilities, a new university center, and a large complex devoted to the arts.
