Planning Your Tour:
Accessibility:
The Admission Office is located in Rice's oldest and most historic building, Lovett Hall, built in 1911. Due to its age and architectural style, the building is not fully accessible for those who use wheelchairs, scooters or for whom stairs pose challenges. Visitors with mobility or disability concerns are encouraged to announce specific needs when registering online for a campus visit, or call 713-348-2910 at least one week in advance of a planned visit. For more information on campus accessibility, please visit the Rice Disability Support Services Campus Access page.
Travel Tips:
Visitor parking is available in the Founder's Court Visitor Lot in front of Lovett Hall. To access the lot, enter campus through entrance No. 1 or No. 2 from Main Street; the lot will be located on the left.
If the Founder's Court Visitor Lot is full, West Lot 1 (across from Alice Pratt Brown Hall, building No. 13 on the campus map) is your next best parking option. From the West Lot, you may catch the Inner Loop shuttle at bus stops A, B or C. Once on the Inner Loop shuttle bus, request the Allen Center/Sewall Hall stop. Lovett Hall is located next to the north side of Sewall Hall.
Visitors can expect to pay about $4 per hour for parking with a maximum daily limit of $11. Parking lots only accept credit or debit cards. We recommend that you arrive at least 30 minutes in advance of your scheduled appointment to have ample time to park and check in with the Admission Office.
